Radicut (edaravone)

Radicut (edaravone) is a free radical used for treating acute cerebral infarction.

The medicine only prevailed in Japan, since it didn't develop successfully in any other country. There is no evidence of effectiveness, whereas life-threatening harmful effects have been reported.

Therefore, we sent a written request to the MHLW and the Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation, asking for the disclosure of safety information on October 7th,2003.
